When should I contact an accountant or business advisor?

Accountants and advisors are versatile and knowledgeable and you should take full advantage of their expertise to accomplish your goals. They can be utilized whether your company is in it's start-up phase of life or already matured and established. Depending upon your budget will really depend upon when you can hire one, so plan ahead!

What are my options for raising money?

Nowadays, there are numerous ways you can raise capital to fund your business. From going the regular bank route to investors to friends & family or to online platforms like Kickstarter. No matter where your money comes from, you'll need a sound plan to know how much you need and what it will take to cash flow the company.

How can I know which accountant is right for me?

Does your accountant return your calls and emails timely? Do you feel heard when discussing questions and details of your business? Do you feel like they're providing you with the knowledge you need to make the right decisions for the future? With the right accountant, the answers should be a resounding "Yes!"

Do you provide tax, payroll, and audit services?

MiProBooks does not provide any of these services. We partner with Gusto for payroll and provide accountant recommendations for tax and audit services. We would rather focus on our passion of providing accurate, timely advice and helping businesses understand their financials.

Why is MiProBooks not a registered CPA firm?

When we have CPAs that use their designation in relation to the company, we are legally required to display a notice that our company is not a licensed CPA firm. This is purely due to the fact that no owner names or initials are mentioned in the name of the company. The Texas licensing board does not allow trade names to be registered firms. We think it's a dumb rule, but we still have to obey the laws set by our regulatory bodies.
